Berkeley Arts Magnet
As an arts magnet school, Berkeley Arts Magnet has a lot of unique resources. Mentors have the flexibility to mentor one-on-one or to work with an entire class. BAM utilizes an 'independent pairing process' in which mentors form relationships with mentees rather than being assigned by their school director. No art experience is necessary for mentors!
School Director: Darain Noveir
Emerson is one of the best options for mentors who want to stay near campus. Mentors work primarily with an entire grade, but there is potential to develop one-on-one relationships and weekly interactions. Emerson is a great place where mentors can work with a diverse group of students who adore Sage mentors!
School Director: Sweta Parija
Jefferson's staff and faculty are really excited for mentors to either work with an entire class - and become part of their classroom routine - or mentor one-on-one. Jefferson also boasts a Disabled Students Program (DSP) and an afterschool program for mentors to participate in and assist with during mentoring sessions.

Acorn Woodland Elementary
Acorn Woodland Elementary is a beautiful school located in an underserved neighborhood in Oakland, CA. A great portion of students at Acorn Woodland are economically disadvantaged, English learners, or differently abled. Students need and love having mentors here!

New Highland Academy
New Highland Academy has a large Hispanic demographic within their student population, so while proficiency in Spanish is not required, Spanish speakers are encouraged! Students at New Highland Academy are amazing, fun, and in need of role models. The After School Program is available to mentors, but mentors need to be emotionally prepared to play an intense game of tag :).
School Director: Caroline Kim
